FAQ
Common questions about molds, MOQ, food safety, samples, artwork and production.
A: Existing molds are usually more cost-effective and can shorten the lead time because the tooling is already available. A new custom mold is more suitable for large-quantity orders, brand-specific shapes, exclusive structures or long-term packaging programs. For large orders, we can also offer mold cost refund options according to project quantity and cooperation plan.
A: Yes. For food packaging projects, we use food-contact-grade tinplate, food-contact-grade printing inks and food-contact-grade coatings. These materials can be arranged to meet relevant international food-contact standards according to the target market and project requirements. The final solution should also consider whether the food touches the tin directly, and whether an inner liner, inner bag or food-contact insert is required.
A: Important points include food-contact coating or inner liner, lid fit, internal cleanliness, edge safety, printing quality, scratches, dents, odor control and export carton protection. For moisture-, oxygen- or aroma-sensitive products, an inner pouch or sealing arrangement may still be needed.
A: The usual MOQ for custom tin boxes is around 5,000 pieces. The exact MOQ depends on tin size, shape, printing method, mold availability, finish requirements and production schedule. Flexible small-batch customization can also be discussed for selected projects.
A: We support various payment methods, including T/T, Western Union, PayPal, Credit Card and other commonly used international payment options. The final payment method can be confirmed according to the order amount, customer location and project requirements.
A: Yes. Samples can be used to review size, structure, lid fit, printing effect, surface finish, insert fit and product presentation before mass production.
A: Vector artwork files such as AI, PDF or EPS are preferred. Final dielines should be confirmed before printing, especially when embossing, spot UV, barcode, inside-lid printing or full-surface artwork is required.
A: Custom tin box production usually takes around 40 days after artwork, sample and order details are confirmed. The exact lead time depends on order quantity, mold status, printing complexity, surface finish, accessories and overall production schedule.
